Doctoral Researchers (Psychology, m/f)

11 Phd positions (m/f)

We invite application for one of up to 11 PhD positions (m/f). The program combines a three-year structured training for PhD and MD students with close personal support in an excellent research environment. 

The program begins on April 1, 2018 and the position is initially limited to 3 years. Salary is based on the German TV-L pay scale, including the social benefits of the German public service sector.

 

Responsibilities

Your tasks will mainly involve independent planning, conducting, analyzing, and publishing experimental and clinical projects within the research focus of the GRK 2350.

 

Requirements

Excellent master in psychology, neuroscience or another natural science, Timely completion of higher education with a qualifying degree and above-average results. Proven qualifications with particular relevance to the RTG.

MD fellowships (m/f)

2 MD fellowships (medicine) (m/f)

We invite application for one of up to 2 MD fellowships (medicine) (m/f) in project C2 (Obesity & Diabetes). The program combines a three-year structured training for PhD and MD students with close personal support in an excellent research environment. 

The program begins on April 1, 2018 and the fellowship is initially limited to 12 months. The fellowship rate is based on the mandatory DFG guidelines for Research Training Groups (DFG form 2.22a).

Requirements

Studies of human medicine (up to 3. clinical semester) with above-average results, matriculation at a German university. Familiarity with the topic of the Research Training Group is highly welcome and knowledge of the English language is required.

Submission of application documents until February 9th, 2018: 

  • CV
  • master's degree certificate AND transcript
  • bachelor's degree certificate AND transcript
  • secondary school leaving certificate
  • English proficiency record (tests such as TOEFL, provide experiences)
  • two letters of recommendation from recent academic supervisors or employers carrying the official university or company letterhead OR contact details of two referees
  • letter of motivation (one page: Include reference from own experiences to research project, outline future career plans)
  • please also provide a personal hierarchy of up to three projects you would like to apply for

After the submission deadline, a preselection by the CIMH human resources department is carried out. Candidates who meet the application criteria will be pre-assessed by a selection committee (spokesperson, administrative coordinator, scientific coordinator) and suitable candidates will be invited to the assessment centre.

 

Step 2: Assessment Centre

The assessement centre will be held between February 19th and February 23rd, 2018 and take one whole day. We are not able to reimburse travel expenses.
